The following terms and conditions of use apply to www.scouts.com.au and all other websites in the within the scouts.com.au domain.

  1. Privacy

    1.1Data recorded when registering as a user(Member) of this site is subject to the Privacy Policy of the Scout Association of Australia.

  2. Acceptable Use

    2.1As a registered user of www.scouts.com.au you will have access to certain "members only" content.

    2.2Members Only content and resources will be made available to you on the basis that they are only ever used for Scouting purposes.

    2.3While care is taken to ensure that downloadable resources are virus free, no guarantee is given and it is the member's responsibility to exercise appropriate caution in this regard.

  3. Sharing Resources

    3.1Registered users are invited to share their favourite resources with other members via the Leader Resource Centre.

    3.2Files submitted for sharing will be subject to moderation for suitability for inclusion in the Leader Resource Centre.

    3.3A submission may be rejected or removed at the sole discretion of Scouts Australia.

    3.4Submissions must not be in breach of copyright, intellectual property rights or any other Local, State, Federal Laws.

    3.5If you submit a resource that is not entirely your original work, you must ensure that you have the permission of the author(s) and copyright holder(s) before submitting it. It is assumed by Scouts Australia that such permission has been sought and granted.

    3.6Any resource for which ownership is called into question will be promptly removed from the Leader Resource Centre.

    3.7Submissions must also not be in conflict with, or encourage deviation from Scouts Australia Policy and Rules or Branch Rules or Guidelines.

    3.8As resource submissions may be submitted from or viewed from anywhere in the World, it is the responsibility of the viewer of any resource to ensure that in using any resources, they are acting in accordance with their own Scouting Organisation's Policy, Rules and safe operating standards and procedures.

    3.9As a courtesy to your fellow members, it is expected that any resources you submit for sharing, particularly executables and Microsoft Word Documents, have been appropriately checked for viruses.

  4. Photographs

    4.1If you are submitting photographs either as part of a resource or as independent submissions, then in doing so you are certifying that:

    4.1.1you are the photographer and copyright owner of the photograph

    4.1.2you grant to the Scout Association of Australia the right to use the photograph without further reference for General Scouting purposes.

    4.1.3if the photograph features people in close detail, those people have given permission either directly or via general release on a membership or event application form, for the photograph to be used for General Scouting purposes.

    4.2General Scouting purposes includes but is not limited to use in Scouting publications, Leader training material and Scout websites. It specifically excludes use within mass media advertising and billboards.

  5. Continued Availability of Resources or Service

    5.1In providing this online facility, Scouts Australia:

    5.1.1Offers no guarantee, expressed or implied on the longevity or continuity of this website.

    5.1.2Reserves the right to remove any or selected content at any time.
