SCOUTS AUSTRALIA MAJOR SPONSOR OF NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK 2012
Scouts Australia is proud to be a Major Sponsor of National Youth Week 2012. Held from Friday 13th April to Sunday 22nd April 2012, National Youth Week (NYW) was back this year with the new theme of Imagine. Create. Inspire.
NYW is an amazing experience for youth around Australia, allowing them to immerse themselves and get involved in a fantastic range of events, activities and competitions. Young people are encouraged to share ideas, showcase their talents, celebrate their contribution to the community, attend youth events, enjoy themselves and HAVE FUN … and that’s what Scouting is all about too! Just as NYW is the largest celebration of young people in Australia, Scouts Australia is the largest youth development organization in Australia and one of 161 member countries of the World Organization of the Scout Movement which has over 30 million Scouts worldwide.
NYW is an opportunity for young people to:
- share ideas
- attend live events
- have their voices heard on issues of concern to them
- showcase their talents
- celebrate their contribution to the community
- take part in competitions
- have fun!
