National Commissioner Youth Program
John Clarke
The National Commissioner Youth Program (NCYP) manages the development and delivery of Scouts Australia's National Youth Program, which is a complex and progressive age-related program for young people aged 6 to 25 years. A review process is conducted on a rolling eight-year cycle to ensure the National Youth Program is updated and relevant to the needs of today's youth, and includes age ranges, stages of development, Award Schemes, program resource material and other related areas.
The NCYP also has responsibility for ensuring that youth have an active role in decision-making at all levels of Scouts Australia. On a national level this is achieved though Youth Forums held at national events.
The NCYP works closely with the Branch Chief Commissioners in relation to the development and delivery of the program within each of the eight State Branches.
